Sun Jian-

            Jian still keeps a firm hand over all his many sub-companies; however Sun Times is dear to his heart.  He supports Yuan Shao, believing that the man is what Luo Yong needs to turn itself around.

Sun Ce-

            Jian’s eldest son.  He is brash and outspoken and has yet to grow up despite taking a wife recently.  Zhou Yu’s best friend since childhood.

Sun Quan-

            Jian’s middle child, quiet and thoughtful.  He is somewhat of a hermit, always annoyed and embarrassed by Sun Ce’s behavior.  He runs the paper mill on the river and enjoys its simplicity.

Sun Shang Xiang:

            Jian’s youngest child, she can be as excitable as Ce or as reclusive as Quan but has a stubborn streak that rivals her father’s.  She is enjoying he time away from the family household, taking in the freedoms and indulgences of the city.

Zhou Yu:

            Sun Ce’s best friend, a brilliant man with a dedication to his work that everyone envies.  He is a touch conceited, which usually fuels his desire to attack people via his editorial, but he is a man who knows what sells newspapers. 

Zhou Tai:

            Zhou Yu’s older brother.  In his youth he joined a gang with Lu Bu, Gan Ning and Hua Xiong, while his brother competed in chess tournaments and tutored Sun Ce.  Tai’s life changed when he was 18 and the police finally caught up with them.  Hua Xiong was shot and killed, Gan Ning and he were snagged by the cops and Lu Bu got away.  Sun Jian stepped in and made a deal with Yuan Shao, as a favor to Zhou Yu, and Tai and Ning went to the police academy instead of jail.  Tai and Yu do not get along and never have.

Huang Gai:

            Sun Jian’s oldest friend and confidant.  He took over the reins of Sun Freight, a small railroad that runs from Nanman to Shu.  He mainly transports lumber to the mills and to the many construction companies in Shu.

Lu Meng

            Sun Jian gives Lu Meng a free hand when it comes to the company he runs.  He is picky about the manuscripts he published, but he had made millions for the boss.

            Brilliant young man who completed high school when he was 15, then completed a four year degree in computer science in less than three years.  He is an unparalleled genius when it comes to computers, programming and the internet.  Some people even suggest he could hack into the government networks if he so desired.

Gan Ning

            Zhou Tai’s partner.  He used to run with him in the old days, and sticks close now that those days are over.  He is a bit trigger happy and unprofessional at times.  He escaped prision as a teen by narcing on a few smugglers he was running with.

Da Qiao:

            Somewhat smarter than her sibling she does enjoy Zhou Yu’s company, when he actually comes home. 

Ling Tong

       After losing his father as a teenager, Ling Tong chose to follow the old man's footsteps and join the police force.    He was outraged when the man who had shot and killed his father during a robbery was not only given his freedom but a job in LYPD.  It spurred his desire to join the precincts Internal Affairs division and work on releiving Gan Ning of his job and freedom.
